Avocado Society of Tanzania (ASTA) is a society established by avocado value chain stakeholders and dully registered in 2022. The society head office is based in Njombe and it operates in all areas of Tanzania.
ASTA has 273 founder members across Tanzania.ASTA membership structure is comprised with different categories which includes Farmers (Individual farmer, Farmers groups/associations), buyers (Exporters, Local buyers, Processors), Service providers (Agribusiness consulting firms, inputs suppliers/dealers, Seedling dealers/Nurseries) and like-minded stakeholders such as universities, Training institutions, and Research bodies
